This is the second general you encounter. He is surrounded by a ridiculous amount of other enemies, so be sure to kill them all beforehand, use stealth as much as possible. Once they're out of the way, fight the general. If you manage to sneak up to him and take one lifebar away to begin with, that's great. He uses a variety of attacks and it was with this guy where I really began to pratice and grasp the game's fighting mechanics. Be aggressive, but not careless. His sword has a lot of range, so don'T always try to avoid it but really get in there and block, parry and attack. He uses all three types of perilous attacks (thrust/swipe/grab), so try to react accordingly.
